Among the more visible elements are chi-rho monograms, which flank the doorway that leads into the corridor connecting the portico and sanctuary. These monograms occur at a height of approximately 1 m from the ground and correspond roughly to the location on the wall where a horizontal band of hieroglyphs had been placed.
A large cross was painted on the figure of the deity Thoth in the original scene on the western side of the wall.
Speos Artemidos
The southern wall of the portico features religious scenes and hieroglyphic texts from the time of its initial construction during the reigns of Hatshepsut and Thutmose I. In late antiquity, this wall was redecorated with numerous Christian dipinti, consisting of figures, symbols, and short Coptic texts in red paint, although they have faded considerably over time.
